Dr. Cherisa I. Jerez is a proud Latina and Irish blend originally from Miami, FL.
Her debut novel, At The Island’s Edge, releases on 3/18/2025. She is actively focused on writing stories with bold, Latina protagonists. Her experiences growing up near El Paso’s Mexican border, her Dominican husband, and her sibling’s spouses from Colombia and Peru, have only further enhanced her love of Latin America and its varied cultures.
She holds a BBA in accounting, an MBA, and a DBA in International Business. Cherisa was commissioned as a Signal Officer in the US Army in 2005 and rose to the rank of Major before transitioning out. She spent 17 years as a leader in the manufacturing, distribution, and IT spaces, and has a passion for leadership and communication.
She lives in St. Cloud, FL and is hard at work on her next novel.
